The project I'm currently working is the SNCAN NC 858 S.

The NC-850 was studied in the mid-forties by the engineer who ran Montlaur at Bourges, the engineering of light aircraft of the National Society of Aeronautical Constructions of the Centre, SNCAC. This first version of a formula with little aesthetic derives its unique, responded to competition two-seater 75 hp organized by the Air Ministry at the request of the Department of Aviation Light and sporty, the SALS, and to commence on 1 July 1947 to flight test center of Brétigny-sur-Orge. The only copy of the NC-850 was powered by a 75 hp Mathis G4F and was developed by test pilot Jean Brivot. The results were encouraging enough to allow the production of a first batch of 9 aircraft, the NC-851 engines equipped this time Minie 4-DA.28 still 75 hp. Two NC-852, one of which is none other than NC-851 transformed quickly followed suit with the engine not Regnier 4 EO 90 hp.
It was time to give birth to the series of NC-853 on which is a fundamental change: the adoption of an elegant double drift up the unsightly and drift imposing simple. The first of these made its maiden flight on 15 March 1948. About a hundred copies ordered by SALS, twenty-six had already left Bourges chains in July 1949. But unfortunately in this production that SNCAC be liquidated. SNCA North takes control of the department's activities and light aircraft production will continue to Bourges and always under the supervision of the engineer Montlaur. The company took the name SNCAN.
NC began to emerge as an excellent choice for flying clubs and ninety-five type machines NC-853S, powered by the Minie 4 DC-32 75 hp, will still be built at the request of SALS. Many of these devices will then be processed either NC-854-powered American Continental A.65 65 hp, in NC-858-powered Continental C 90 - 12F (90 hp) or C 85 - 12F (85 hp).

My working version is a NC.858S which is actually a conversion of NC.853 with a Continental C90
These technical specifications are as follows:

•    Crew: Two
•    Length: 24 ft 0 in
•    Wingspan: 40 ft 0 in
•    Height: 7 ft 0 in
•    Wing area: 183 ft2
•    Empty weight: 1,432 lb
•    Gross weight: 1,984 lb
•    Powerplant: 1 × Regnier 4L.O4 four cylinder air cooled inverted inline engine, 135 hp

Performances
•    Maximum speed: 118 mph
•    Cruising speed: 106 mph
•    Stall speed: 43.5 mph
•    Endurance: 3 hours
•    Rate of climb: 984 ft/min
